The Pumpkin Patch

June 24th, 2008

This year I decided to try to grow some pumpkins. Hopefully they will be gracing my front porch this fall. I planted Ghost Rider Pumpkins. I don’t have a ton of room for the rambling pumpkin vines, so I decided to use the hillside by the garage, it used to be planted in honeysuckle. I’m hoping I will have a bounty of pumpkins!

The pumpkin vines are looking good. Are those the same kind that you gave to me? I checked mine today and they are doing well.

Yep, they’re Ghost Rider Pumpkins. I actually took this photo last week, so they’re even bigger now.

I have a few pumpkins that are ripe and some that haven’t ripened yet. I have one nice one, it probably weighs 8 lbs that I already harvested.
