Feeling Right at Home

February 1st, 2009

Dexter’s feeling right at home here at Chiot’s Run. He’s enjoying having food all the time and living inside a warm & toasty house.

He’s decided he really likes the domesticated life, especially the posturepedic mattress he gets to sleep on all day. Samson (our orange cat) is enjoying having a new playmate, we hear them often running up and down the hall. Dexter’s even decide that Lucy’s OK and he no longer hisses at her.

We’re enjoying having Dexter around as well. He adds a new dynamic to the household; he has a great personality and he’s very talkative.

He’s quite a cutie isn’t he?

He is an absolute cutie. Glad to read that he is settling in so well and “mingling” with the new friends at Chiot’s Run. Do you find the habits/personalities of the other animals changed as Dexter arrived?

I don’t think the other pets have changed much. Samson, our orange cat was a little more “needy” for a while, but he’s settled down now that they’ve become friends.

We also caught Dexter and Samson sleeping together one afternoon, which in cat society means he’s been accepted (at least by Samson, Soafie is still being a bit of a snob).

Dexter eats much more than our other cats so he’s always polishing off all the food. So the other 2 cats complain about that sometimes.

he is too cute! luke wants a cat so bad but we didn’t think it would be a good idea since 3 of our dogs are cat eaters. (at least we think they are… we haven’t allowed them the chance to find out for sure!)they also make my eyes water like crazy, which must’ve happened as i got older b/c we had cats when i was younger and they didn’t bother me. we do have several stray cats that come around so we feed them a lot! needless to say we haven’t had any mouse problems!

Brian used to get watery eyes as well from cats until we got one. He had a bit of trouble for a few weeks and then it cleared up, I guess he got used to it.

All you need is a cat with claws to teach those cat eating dogs a lesson. My mom’s cat taught her 2 coon hounds who was boss when we was just a wee kitty. One swipe across the nose was all it took!

Adorable! And how kind of you to take him in and take him to the vet.

Dexter is beginning to look more and more like Jeffrey. Jeffrey was quite the eater as well. Remember how he used to eat Mutt’s food after he had polished off his own?

I stumbled upon your blog from a comment you left at fast grow the weeds. I am enjoying reading through your posts, but this photo of Dexter stopped me in my tracks. He looks almost exactly like our Milton who is sitting in my lap right now. Seriously, if I didn’t know better, they could be siblings (M is a half pure-bred seal point siamese and half neighborhood tom cat who we got from a colleague.) He can be a bit noisy, but oh so cute. Will be sure to follow along in your adventures. Good luck!

Perhaps our cats are of similar blood lines. Dexter is also quite a noisy kitty, we love it!

    Hi There,

They sure are cute. I have two cats, Roonie and Oliver and they get along just fine. I wanted to tell you about a new product that we’ve been using to clean up their messes, while being eco-conscious.

Now more than ever, people everywhere are realizing the importance of “living green”, and of making smart choices that affect their family and the earth. More and more often, we’re becoming aware of the negative effects associated with chemicals found in our homes. According to the Environmental Protection Association (EPA), typical household cleaning products and air fresheners are one of the leading contributors to poor indoor air quality. The agency reports that poor indoor air quality can lead to health issues that manifest soon after exposure or, possibly, years later.

With this in mind, I thought that you and your readers might be interested in learning about SeaYu Enterprises’ launch of Clean+Green®, the only eco-friendly aerosol pet cleaning products on the planet. Unlike most other cleaning products that can be harmful, require multiple applications and/or only temporarily mask odors, Clean + Green delivers instant results in a non-toxic, eco-friendly solution. Clean+Green permanently cleans pet stains and eradicates odors. It is safe for pets, people (kids too!), and the planet.

Clean+Green is made with ingredients and materials that are all-natural, 100% biodegradable, and recyclable. The products are non-toxic, non-flammable, non-carcinogenic and will not damage the ozone layer – with no harsh chemicals or perfumes. The eco-friendly aerosol applicator ensures easy and quick application with maximum performance.

Clean+Green is available at PETCO®, PetSmart®, Pet Supplies Plus® and other retailers that sell pet specialty products in the US and Canada, as well as through the Clean+Green site – http://www.sea-yu.com. Within the coming weeks, the products will be available at WalMart and Stop & Shop locations nationwide.

I would be happy to send images and a press release if you’d like more information. Thanks for your time!

    Best,

    Graham
