What’s in Your Pantry?

May 24th, 2009

Yesterday my pantry was featured on Perfect Pantry. Head on over there and take a peek into my pantry.

I’d love to start a weekly series like this here, only I’d feature gardens each week, what do you think? Would you like to take a peek into other people’s gardens?

Your pantry is so organized, and I like the storage area for the jars. Were they built for the purpose (or a similar one)?

Actually the one pantry I keep my canned goods in was an old TV cabinet. The other pantry is a converted coal closet that was in the kitchen.

I love looking at other people’s veggie gardens. I’m always trying to crane my head to see in people’s backyard for what they are growing.I think it would be a lot more fun than pantries, but them I’m a gardener first and a cook second.

Those jars a cheap little glass jars from IKEA, they’re small enough to fit in my shallowest drawer.

YAY!! I LOVE peeking into other people’s pantries, refrigerators, cabinets, wherever they store food. Although nobody would really want to see our scary, old, impossible to organize kitchen cupboards.

It’s so interesting to see what different people choose to eat. I’m like a food voyeur. Same goes for gardens. Walking through other people’s vegetable gardens is one of my favorite things ever, because then I get to geek out and talk about vegetables with someone else who presumably gets as excited about them as I do.

Or maybe they don’t and they’re just humoring the crazy veggie lady. Probably that.

Great idea! I had started taking pictures of my neighbors yards (there are some pretty amazing vegetable gardens) but would love to see what folks around the blogosphere are doing.

I think that is a great idea. As a first time gardener, I love to see other gardens, to get ideas, or learn how to improve my own.
