All Things Pink
The snow has melted and brown is not the predominant color here in Ohio. This is the part of winter I don’t like. As long as there’s snow I can take the cold weather, but as soon as it’s gone I get more and more antsy for spring. I want to get outside and get some work done. Most of all I want to see some color in the garden. For the next couple days I’ll be celebrating the colors of the garden. Each day I’ll do a collage of a different color, mostly of things in the garden (although a few other things crept into the collages). We’ll start with pink.
What’s your favorite color in the garden?
Pink…and blue, yellow, white and purple. I find the most interesting color in a garden to be the combination of green with white. I have never tired of that combination. It can be flowers or leaves but it always lifts me. Love the pictures you provided. I do love the shades of pink. I like color in other people’s gardens but my own palette reflects the colors I listed first. Kind of like the way I decorate the rooms of my house.

Gorgeous!
Can I ask a technical question?? How do you do a collage like that?

Actually this is what the sets look like in flickr, I simply took a screen shot of my flickr set that’s filled with pink things. Here’s the link to the flickr set collage so you can see it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chiotsrun/sets/72157623031605647/

I’d normally say orange, but for an actual favorite, I do love the greens. All the different shades in each plant, on the trees, and on the ground, plus the different textures, make the world seem so alive. I never fail to marvel at the nuances between them all.

My favourite colour is green, so that’s a hard question to ask. I think my other favourite might be yellow or orange or red. I’m trying a new morning glory this year, La Vie en Rose, that I’m super excited about!

Tough one! My favorite color is bright eye-bleeding orange, but I have yet to see a construction orange flower… Orange pumpkins and butterfly bushes are lovely too. Second to that I like whites, moonflowers vines are a staple of my summer garden, this year I am going to grow them up sunflowers (orange ones of course.)

what a wonderful collage. I like all colors, all veggies, all flowers, all fruit – some more than others depending on the time of the year.
