Cuddled up on the couch with a good book! These days I usually have a few visitors with me...and maybe a cat or two.

This is my butternut squash soup recipe. Sometimes I use coconut milk to replace part of the chicken stock. http://chiotsrun.com/2009/01/07/eating-seasonally-winter-squash/

I don't can my butternut squash soup, I usually just make up a big batch and freeze it. Although we love it so much we often eat up the whole batch before it has time to go into the freezer! I like to can tomato soup, but have never canned any other kind, here's my recipe for tomato soup: http://chiotsrun.com/2009/08/22/canning-tomato-soup/

When I make butternut squash ravioli I typically just top with sage browned butter. I brown butter in a cast iron skill an add some sage to it. Then we drizzle over the pasta.

Those mushrooms look wonderful! Like you, I love making soup and have not long ago gotten into canning it. Do you can your Butternut Squash soup? I would love to have the recipe if you are willing to share. The Butternut ravioli sounds so good; do you prepare it with a sauce on top?

Cherish the rain. Nothing but sun here today.

I love spending a drizzly day reading and baking "coffee shop-case" goodies likes scones and biscotti. My very first go at homemade sourdough bread is actually happening today so, hopefully, I can channel some of your expert vibes!
