This quote resonates for me. I really try to do just that almost every day, but I particularly give myself permission NOT to overfill my weekends so that I honestly can just slow down and savor the beautiful world that surrounds me. I am blessed to live in a lovely area with unique and gorgeous beauty. The seashore is less than a 1/4 mile from our home and our house is surrounding by a tall mixed growth forest. As a result, I can listen to the wind in the trees, smell the sea on the breeze, and on foggy days I wake up to the sound of the fog horn on the Hood Canal bridge. Glorious!
