Where Am I?

August 3rd, 2010

Mr Chiots and I are currently on our way home from a mini vacation. We had to travel for the business this weekend and were halfway to a place we’ve always wanted to visit. So we decided to take a few days off to relax and recharge for our busy fall season.

Can anyone guess where we went?

I’m guessing Williamsburg. My husband and I went there last year and loved it to pieces.

I live in Harrisonburg! Hope you enjoyed the Valley :) Were you in Shenandoah Park?

I am from Big StoneGap, Va.. if you are close you definitely need to visit Natural Tunnel State Park. What an awesome thing to view. Really “grounds” me when I go there.

Well, I am in Hot Springs, just an hour from Staunton – did you come to The Homestead?

Charlottesville! I’ve been there a few times, and absolutely loved it! I actually love that whole part of the country, right there. Some beautiful areas.

P.S. Got the seeds yesterday, now I just need to find some time to plant them! Thanks again!

I’m going to guess Monticello to see the gardens. I was there in the winter and it was amazing still, but I really want to go back when the gardens are in full bloom :)

regardless of where you are hope you are enjoying a little break. We all need them once in a while!

I think is it Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello too. Have a wonderful break and a great time. Are you staying to enjoy the “Evenings in the Courtyard” and “Heirloom Tomato Tasting” events taking place on Aug 7th?

I guess, I did not read your intro well. Since it states that you are on your way home. So obviously you are not there for the events. I hope you and Mr. Chiots had great fun.

I am thinking you visited the Salatin’s on Pure Meadows Lane.
