G is for ______________

August 9th, 2011

GARDENING – I didn’t use to be much of a gardener, but have grown to love it over the past 9 years. It’s such a great hobby because it’s: relaxing, active, fun, creative, and so many other wonderful things.

GRANOLA – not meaning that I like granola, but meaning that I’m a granola. For some funny descriptions of “granolas” see the Urban Dictionary. Although I don’t fit all the parameters of a granola, I’m pretty crunchy!

GENEROUS – I’ve always been a generous person, I try to give generously of my time with friends & family when possible and give generously of my money to charities and those in need.

GOOD – this is how my teachers always described me on my report cards and a “pleasure to have in class”. I’ve always been naturally good.

GOOFY – Yep, I can be a bit goofy sometimes.

What words/phrases describe you that start with a G?

“Good.” That sounds like my wife :) She was always the goody in school. I was always smart but never motivated, and I don’t think I ever had any teachers say I was a pleasure to have… at least not after elementary school. Drove my parents crazy :)

Ha, I love those granola definitions, though I don’t fit most of them – I think the only qualifying pieces deal with the natural food and living. I don’t do the whole drug thing, and I’m definitely not a leftie!

I’m the same – no drugs and not a leftie (or a rightie either for that matter). But as for food, gardening & other areas I fit right in.

Granola….that is too funny! I had to go and check it the link. Some thing we fall in line with, others not! Like you not a leftie or a rightie, we just don’t fit into the nice, neat little labels that society has for us.

    Granola….still cracking up over that!

Gorgeous, especially around 9 p.m. when I’ve been standing in a sweltering kitchen canning peaches for two hours.

At least my husband thinks so, anyway. I appreciate his delusion.

gardening has a lovely way of getting under you skin and soaking into your very soul (along with the mud you’ll invariably find under your nails after a good stint outside – well perhaps not for you Susy with your lovely Ethel gloves to protect you).
I couldn’t pick just one G today so today it is for … George, giraffes, garden peas and growing veg.

Groovy, goofy, & great fun. ;) I think mighty high of myself, dont I? LoL
Im also a long time gardener… at least 43 or 44 years that I can remember. ;)

I’ve wondered what crunchy was, but never bothered to look it up I’ll have to check out that Urban Dictionary more often. You’d think with 5 kids between ages 21 & 29 I’d be more with it. ;)

I’m going to have to to a catch-up post soon. We’re preparing for out of town guests and my husband’s 50th birthday party so things are a bit crazy around here.

Granola – such a great G! I am definitely a granola in some ways – NOT in others. So funny!
