R is for ____________

August 22nd, 2011

READER – I’ve always been a reader, the library being one of my favorite places to visit as a girl. I distinctly remember reading a book a day when I was in 7th and 8th grade.

REALIST – I’ve seen a lot of things in my life and therefore I am a realist. I try not to have unrealistic goals for myself or for others. I try to accept that things will not be perfect. This is a bit difficult since I have a habit of being a bit of a perfectionist.

RELIGIOUS – I grew up in a very conservative Christian home and continue to be very religious, though not in the traditional sense of the word.

RURAL – I’m a rural soul. I’ve lived in various cities, but my heart has always been in a rural place. I love the slow pace of rural life.

REAL FOODIE – I appreciate good real simple food. I’ve transitioned to this from more of foodie in the regular sense of the word. I’m learning to love food at it’s essence, as close to nature as possible.

RESERVED – I’m a fairly private person and am very reserved about a lot of things. This is probably because I’m a introvert. It’s kind of funny that I have a blog

REFLECTIVE – I try to be reflective and learn from my mistakes. I strive to become a better person all the time and being reflective is key in achieving this.

Morning Chiot’s Run! It’s quite hard work this, writing a post every day, but it’s great to scoot round and see what others are doing, they are all quite different. All the best, Joanna

Reader, realist, rural spirit, reserved to a degree, and very reflective all describe me as well..
Romping also describes me in that I’ll go romping thru fields & woods and creeks.. I love that…and its been too long..
Regular ol joe… not too puffed up in life but not broken spirited either
Roamer-I love to roam… I’ve lived in many houses and in several states, and I love to wander around this world.. I’d love to roam the world at large too.. someday… but I always love having my home to come back to. ♥

This is a daily journal of my efforts to cultivate a more simple life, through local eating, gardening and so many other things. We used to live in a small suburban neighborhood Ohio but moved to 153 acres in Liberty, Maine in 2012.
