She’s a Beauty + a Calendar Giveaway
I don’t know why I’m still taken aback by their beauty when I receive my calendars in the mail. I know the quality of Lulu printing, I’ve seen the photos a million times, yet seeing them in print and running my hands over the glossy paper makes me smile.
I spent some time earlier this week wrapping them up and mailing off the ones that go to friends and relatives far away. I love that they will have a little piece of my home showing in their home each month of the year!
At the end of December my calendar will be hung right beside my computer where I see it all day long. A big thanks to those of you who purchase my calendar as I get a few dollars from each one. This helps a lot with the expenses for keeping this blog going and helps me keep this blog ad-free! If you’d like to order a Chiot’s Run calendar for yourself or for gifts follow the links in the sidebar.
And now the part you’ve all been waiting for, a chance to win your very own 2012 Chiot’s Run Calendar. All you have to do is comment on this post and you’ll be entered to win. Winner chosen:
Where do you typically hang the calendar in your home?

I have one by the phone and one by the computer. And they are always nature calenders.

our calendar hangs in the kitchen and each day gets marked through as we count down to the arrival of our baby (36 days left). I wonder if little one will stay put to be marked off a new 2012 calendar?

My calendar hangs in the kitchen. I love your pictures and would be so happy with one hanging on my wall…autographed, of course!

I hang it in the kitchen, on the wall that faces our bedroom. That way I can refer to it every morning as I walk out of the room. I can’t wait to get one, even if I don’t win :) It looks b-e-a-utiful.

I hang mine on the wall over the desk where I am sitting right now. Sharing that wall is a framed picture of a Pennsylvania Dutch barn….and don’t you think your calendar would be a perfect mate to that?

I think it’s amazing that you make your own calender! The fact that you stay add free is wonderful too – I feel I am visiting you each day, on a store. xxBrenda

Right next to Communication Central – my desk, phone, bills area of my life. In other words, I can always see my calendar because it’s hanging, but all the stuff on my desk my be a bit harder to find!

We keep the calendar in the kitchen by the phone, with a huge mug of pens and pencils nearby to jot down activities, but also nature notes (e.g., barred owls returned to the ravine today). It’s neat to be able to check the annual comings and goings of the birds. Thanks for the chance to enter for the calendar drawing.

I always hang my home calendar in the kitchen where I see it all the time. In my office I hang it where my patients can see and comment on the lovely pictures. Giving them an opportunity to relax and feel comfortable.

gorgeous! I have a desk calendar for writing events. Mostly that one gets buried…. The pretty ones get hung in the kitchen, after all I am in there a lot.

We always keep one in the kitchen. I try to always choose one with lovely photos, since it can be seen from all upstairs rooms. Yours would be a lovely addition to the house!

Mine goes in the kitchen. Right now we’re making due with a dry erase calendar on the fridge. It’s just not the same. :P

I love your photos and the calendar looks great!
We keep the calendar by the front door, above the key basket. We all try yo make it a point to put events on the calendar as soon as we know about them and always double check on the way out!

Your first picture looks 3 dimensional. So nice. We hang our calendar in the kitchen and write our schedule on it.

I typically hang my calendar above my desk. I write notes to myself and stick post its on it! But it’s usually a boring calendar, not beautiful like yours!!

The calendars are beautiful! I order 2 every year. A small one for me to keep by my computer and live by and one to hang on my wall to appreciate! Thank you, they are terrific!

Oh so beautiful! I keep a calendar in the office area of the dining room and my office. I might be stingy and put this one in my office so there’s no chance of a boy messing it up! :)

Our calendar always hangs in our kitchen on the fridge, next to the phone. We count on our calendar to keep us on track with all the things going on in our lives. I love reading your blog(s) and seeing all of the wonderful photos that you show. It is amazing how the things we see everyday and take for granted can look so different through the camera lens.

Your photos always take my breath away. Someone is going to be very lucky to receive a calendar. I normally like to hang one by my desk so that I can try to effectively plan my family’s days.

we keep track of our hens’ daily egg production on a free-from-the-phone-company calendar on the fridge. I hang a calendar in my cube at work.

I am sad to admit it, but I mostly use the electronic calendar in my email. I think it is because I don’t have a pretty calendar!
to kittyrose's comment
I keep one calendar in the kitchen where I seem to spend most of my time – this is the calendar that all the appointments and activities get jotted down, and another calendar on the wall by my computer whose purpose is just to be a thing of beauty – which is where I would hang your calendar!
