She’s a Beauty + a Calendar Giveaway

November 30th, 2011

I don’t know why I’m still taken aback by their beauty when I receive my calendars in the mail. I know the quality of Lulu printing, I’ve seen the photos a million times, yet seeing them in print and running my hands over the glossy paper makes me smile.

I spent some time earlier this week wrapping them up and mailing off the ones that go to friends and relatives far away. I love that they will have a little piece of my home showing in their home each month of the year!

At the end of December my calendar will be hung right beside my computer where I see it all day long. A big thanks to those of you who purchase my calendar as I get a few dollars from each one. This helps a lot with the expenses for keeping this blog going and helps me keep this blog ad-free! If you’d like to order a Chiot’s Run calendar for yourself or for gifts follow the links in the sidebar.

And now the part you’ve all been waiting for, a chance to win your very own 2012 Chiot’s Run Calendar. All you have to do is comment on this post and you’ll be entered to win. Winner chosen:

Where do you typically hang the calendar in your home?

our calendar hangs in the kitchen and each day gets marked through as we count down to the arrival of our baby (36 days left). I wonder if little one will stay put to be marked off a new 2012 calendar?

I hang it in the kitchen, on the wall that faces our bedroom. That way I can refer to it every morning as I walk out of the room. I can’t wait to get one, even if I don’t win :) It looks b-e-a-utiful.

I hang mine on the wall over the desk where I am sitting right now. Sharing that wall is a framed picture of a Pennsylvania Dutch barn….and don’t you think your calendar would be a perfect mate to that?

We keep the calendar in the kitchen by the phone, with a huge mug of pens and pencils nearby to jot down activities, but also nature notes (e.g., barred owls returned to the ravine today). It’s neat to be able to check the annual comings and goings of the birds. Thanks for the chance to enter for the calendar drawing.

I keep one calendar in the kitchen where I seem to spend most of my time – this is the calendar that all the appointments and activities get jotted down, and another calendar on the wall by my computer whose purpose is just to be a thing of beauty – which is where I would hang your calendar!
