Friday Favorite and a Giveaway

December 21st, 2012

There’s nothing I love more than helping people out, especially friends. I’ve known Beth for many years, we used to be facilitators at a high ropes course together many years ago. She’s the one I got my ducklings from.

Beth has a little boy and another baby on the way. Earlier this year, she started selling Flexi-clips. Now, I know Beth and know she wouldn’t be selling something she didn’t love. When she asked to do a giveaway on my blog I said SURE. She mentioned that these clips would be perfect for gardeners who want to keep their hair out of their eyes when working.  She should know, she’s got a small farm with all kind of lovely animals and a nice big garden.

What is a flexi-clip? it’s like a ponytail holder, only better. I’m one to always have my hair pulled back, in fact I keep it long enough just to pull it back, it’s a rare sight to see my hair down. After wearing the flexi-clip for one day I was amazed at it’s staying power. Normally, my hair falls out of it’s ponytail or bun several time a day and I have to redo it. Not the case with this clip, it stayed in all day and there was no tight pony tail headache and no hair snags or knots. It’s so gentle, it has to be much easier on your hair than one of those rubber band ponytail holders which tend to cause breakage and split ends.

If only you knew how hard it was to take a photo in a handheld mirror of my hair in the bathroom mirror.   Today we’re doing a giveaway for one of these lovely clips, which you’re sure to love as much as I do.  Head on over to Beth’s website and check them out. Use the “go shopping” link in the upper right hand corner to check out what variety of flexi-clips and other things there are. Since I’m a no-frills kind of person, I chose a medium Simple design. They do have ones that are more adorned if you like that sort of thing.
flexiclip giveaway 2
The flexi-clips also look GREAT – more put together than my usual ponytail holder, something I could definitely use!  I think I’ll have to head on over and order a few different sizes for ponytails and buns. I might have to take advantage of her buy three get one free sale (details below).  If you’d like to see more about her and her family, head on over to her business facebook page. Beth kindly offered to give one flexi-clip away to one of you, simply comment below for your chance to win. Congrats to Lisa at The Cutting Edge of Ordinary for winning.

How would you describe yourself when it comes to hairstyles?

Buy 3 items get 1 free (free item up to $16 value). Buy 3 items through my website, then email me the item you would like for free and I’ll send in the certificate for the free item.

Brenda, where are you located? Lilla Rose does have limited shipping options, but we could work something out. I would be glad to order the clip you want and ship it to you if needed. :-)

I have four of these. They are wonderful. Especially for myr daughters. It is nice that you don’t need anything but the flexible and they stay and look elegant. I have the princess one and a few others on my wish list. Great product!!!!!!!

I’ve been meaning to try those for a while so I’d certainly love to win one! I can’t stand wearing my hair down either… it irritates me to no end!

    Style? What’s that?

These days, mostly up, thanks to grabby baby fists. My hair is really, really curly, and having a baby get entangled in it is no good at all.

I wash and brush my hair, and that’s about it; no fancy styling, blowdrying, messing with it, etc. I have my mom give me a trim every year or so. When I’m doing something where my hair gets in the way, I pull it up into a ponytail. Once and awhile, when I want to look nice, I do put my hair into a half-up ponytail (yep, that’s about as fancy as I get), and I bet these clips would look really nice for that, and they also sound really good for the ‘getting your hair of your face while you work’ kind.

I’d also have to see about international shipping to Canada

I love Flexi’s! When my hair was longer I wore them. I am now growing back out and can’t wait to be able to wear them again. My hair is very fine and straight. These are great because they don’t fall out! It’s nice too that they come in so many styles and sizes. A win/win for everyone! :)

I’m a ponytail girl, too. I’ll have to check these out. Suzy, like you, I find myself redoing my hair several times per day because of slippage.

I’ve worn my hair in dreadlocks for almost six years now, and while I love the style it’s pretty near impossible to find any sort of hair accessory that can handle my hair! Locks tend to be much thicker and heavier than undreaded hair. I usually just wear them down or tie them around each other, if I want to get fancy. But, based off of the measurements and the sizing video, I’m pretty certain an extra large flexi clip would do the trick! How exciting.

I have thick curly hair and it’s always so hard for me to find a clip to hold it. The ones I do find that fold usually pinch my hair – Ouch! I love the one pictured, I’m a no frills kinda girl too. Thanks for the chance to win one!

These look great! I especially love any hair doo dads i can find in copper colour (looks awesome in red hair!). I’m one of those people that grows their hair out to their mid back, then gets the wise idea that a short haircut looks better on them. ;). Right now i am growing out what was supposed to be a cut like Amy Adams in Night at the Museum. Made me look more like Ann Frank. Harumph!

Thanks for the chance to win.

I so miss the ease of long hair! Im a ponytail kinda person and hate this shorter style I have, just can’t keep it out of my eyes! In the process of growing it out and would love this. I had something like this a long time ago but it got lost :(

  23. Kat on December 21, 2012 at 1:55 pm

I usually make a ponytail, twist it up, and clip it with a claw. My hair is too thick and heavy for a ponytail, and I can’t stand having hair in my face. These clips look great, would spiff up my look quite a bit.

I grew my hair long just so that I could pull it back and out of the way without fussing over a certain style. I am not one to fuss with my hair! These clips look sweet and simple all in one! Thanks for the giveaway.

  29. Becky on December 22, 2012 at 12:53 am

My hairstyles don’t involve much style :). At home, usually just a ponytail to keep it out of the way. At work I wear it down, only because a ponytail wouldn’t really fit in with our office culture. But I resent even the minimal time I spend on it. A clip like this might would look much more professional for wearing it up at work. Thanks, I will have to check these out!

I used to wear my hair up all the time, but I suffer from migraines and I found that the tight ponytails were a big trigger for me. So these clips look amazing to me! I think I will have to purchase some myself. And like you mentioned, I like it when my hair looks put together with minimal effort! Thanks for the chance!
