Always a Hoot

January 2nd, 2013

Mr Chiots and I laugh, A LOT! We’re both by nature kind of silly people, put us together and it’s pretty much a constant joke around here. Nothing is done with seriousness, everything is done in fun. The best part of that is, it makes chores fun instead of drudgery.
Having Fun 2
Take for example Mr Chiots heading out to knock the icicles off the back of the house, he can’t just knock them off, it has to be done with flair and fun. Naturally, I had to take photos to document the fun.
Having Fun 1
How would I caption this photo? “Now that I have the shard, what am I going to do with it?” Some of you will know exactly what that’s from!

How would you caption this photo of Mr Chiots?

OMG they are huge icicles, keep in mind I live where there is no snow!

LOL! My husband and I are pretty silly too. I think it’s a good thing. Thanks for being there on my screen every morning to make me laugh, show me something beautiful or feed my mind with all the knowledge you two have. Happy New Year!

“I am prepared for the abominable zombie snowman apocalypse!”

That’s an impressive icicle! We’re prone to sneak attacks with snowballs. I walked out the door, slammed it harder than I meant, crossed the back porch and stepped off just in time for snow to slide off the metal roof and cover me. Steve saw the whole thing. He can’t remember what I told him 10 minutes ago but he’ll never, ever forget the day I got lost in an avalanche off the roof.

Hee hee…you two are a riot.

Mr. C to his students in Hunting 101 “You see, this is how the cavemen hunted in winter.” The class is part of the survival school you’ll offer from your home.

My Pop just did this chore while we were visiting. My daughter was in the bath at time, and he walk in with a 3 foot long icicle carrying it as nonchalantly as you’d carry an ice cream cone, pretended to place it in the bath water, and said, “Did someone here order ice?”

Susy, I think that’s what life is supposed to be about. Moving through life by having fun is much less stressful than being seriously serious all the time. You and Brian are very fortunate to be of same attitude about living life. Don’t ever loose that philosophy. That playful attitude about life certainly comes out in your podcasts which makes them so addicting. Brian looks like Jack Frost getting ready to smite the land with winter frost from his frozen icicle bolt.

Have a great day in the frosty land of the northeast.

    …ha,ha…You two are funny & cute! :o)

…You know an icicle like that would make the perfect murder weapon. Just think, no evidence. Not that I would do anything like that, nor would I condone it. *giggle*shrug* ;o)

…Humor is so important in a relationship. You both are fortunate and blessed to have found one another, you seem like the perfect pair. :o)

    …Have a lovely, snowy eve’!

    …Blessings.

Oh my gosh. Another huge memory flash here. My dad used to break off icicles from outside the bathroom window at our house in WI when we were little. He would then put them in the bathtub and we could touch them and watch them melt. Many were as long, or longer than the bathtub. They were amazing and so cool (yes, pun intended)

I love reading all the creative captions. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a toothpick…. say for a woolly mammoth !!
