Craziness
There are power lines down the hill from our house, they actually cut across the very front corner of our property. We can’t see the lines because we’re up a hill and about a third of a mile away. You don’t even notice they are there, until they start doing work. The local power company is adding new lines, so there have been loads of trucks, lots of noise and recently, lots of helicopters! It’s been fascinating to watch. Every now and then, when I’m washing dishes, I’ll see a helicopter come up over the trees carrying a few guys dangling from a long rope.
One day I went down to grab a few photos. What a job and what a commute.
Anything crazy going on around your neighborhood this week?

The question is, are Mainers going to benefit from these new transmission lines that are carrying power from Canada to the rest of the country. Rumor has it that we will not. Oh well, they are creating nice deer and moose brouze.

Susy, nope no aerial acrobatics here. The only weird thing going on in my neighborhood is me. After collecting yard waste for three weeks, the neighbors are glad to see that this week no bags in my yard. The total count was 971 and was quite enough to cover the entire garden. Now as soon as the sleet/ice/snow mix melts, the yard clean up will begin. The Urban Ranch was greatly neglected to get Terra Nova Gardens finished up. Now the concentration will be on getting things done here on the home place.
Have a great Maine day.
