Sick Day

February 17th, 2014

We took yesterday off from recording a podcast, sorry to all of you who will miss it on your commute or while cleaning your kitchen. Why? It was a sick day, nothing terrible, I was just not feeling well all day.
Snowing 1
It’s not a cold or a flu or anything like that, I think mostly sinus pressure from the big snow storm that moved through Saturday night & Sunday morning. I decided it was best to rest up and hopefully feel better on Monday than do too much and risk ending up not feeling well for a few days.

Does the weather ever affect you in this way?

    Feel better soon!
I had to do the same last week before going on a trip to help a friend who had just moved.
Better to nip it in the bud!

I did miss you guys this morning! That will make next week’s podcast all the sweeter. My husband suffers from sinus pain with weather changes, it’s no fun. Rest is the best option.

Susy, get well soon. I’ll just have to muddle through kitchen cleaning without my favorite two people entertaining me with simple living information.

Fortunately, I’ve been blessed with no allergies, no sinus trouble, and no backaches or head aches. Unfortunately, almost everyone in my family history dies of cancer in their 80s. I figure I have about 20 more good years before I have to deal with it. That’s 20 more awesome garden seasons. It’s kind of fun to think about what the world will be like in 20 years. My hope is that it will be a better world.

Have a great get well day.

Yes! We get lots of big shifts in the barometer in Minnesota and I really feel them, as does one of my daughters. Headache-y, fatigued, etc. Hope your day of rest helped!

Definitely! In fact, I had the same kind of sinus headache most of the day Saturday (down here in Maryland). It had me laying low most of the day. Hope you’re feeling better now!

Yes, I have noticed the weather can have an effect on how I feel and cause migraines.
    Take good care.

While it usually happens on an overcast day, there are just some days that are best spent in jammies with hot tea for cheer. That doesn’t happen to me during a real nor’easter but instead during that late fall or early spring drizelly affair when the temp hovers between 33 and 38. Brrrr!!
