Merry Christmas To Me
Mr Chiots and I didn’t exchange gifts this past Christmas, instead we had a few things we were going to do instead. I wanted my new faucet installed and my range hood exhausted outside. Yesterday, Mr Chiots finally put my my faucet.
This is super exciting for me. I wash all the dishes by hand and the other faucet was not very conducive for washing big items. This one also doesn’t leak like crazy, I won’t be wasting as much water now.
Anything new and exciting happening your house?

What a gorgeous faucet! We recently installed a new kitchen sink and faucet. It’s a small change, but feels so good. Enjoy!

Nice faucet!
We just changed all the recessed lights and a hanging fixture over the island in the kitchen to 4200 K LEDs, and now have a sunny, bright, energy efficient kitchen lighting. We hope they will last for years; they use 10% of what we were using before.
It really matters in the part of the house where the lights are on a lot. Our kitchen is great in almost every way, but for the fact that it has a huge North facing window onto a screened porch. Not bright naturally, in spite of the huge window.
I think that the quality of the ambient light really makes a difference to how we feel. Now I feel as if the sun is on me when I do the dishes!

My husband and I spent about an hour yesterday at least getting a start on organizing his old case files from his old home office. He’s a lawyer; there is an UNBELIEVABLE accumulation of paperwork involved.
Not exciting, but necessary. Only about a million more hours and then it’ll all be organized. Whee!

Lots of things on our list to do for the house, but gardening season is picking up now, even with the rainiest March on record. We spent time out in the Growman yesterday digging horsetail and planting seedlings.
The new faucet looks real snazzy!

I came home today and my spouse had picked up a new basement laundry sink/faucet, which we’ve been meaning to replace for ages, woot! It’s also a part of a bigger plan to fix up the kitchen, and we needed a non-gross place to wash dishes if that happens :)

We got a new couch. After many repairs on the old ones (we had 2 couches). We finally got a new, huge sectional. It’s like having a bed in the living room! We love it!

Susy, I had some kind of issues yesterday with getting to your blog so finally just gave up hoping today would be better. I see that today everything is back to normal.
Not too long ago my kitchen faucet was leaking out of every crack and crevice as well. As with any project in an old house the thing to fix is not just the only thing that has to be replaced. Everything needed replaced not just the faucet. (Big sigh) Oh, well, now it doesn’t have to be done again for 20 years. One thing I learned was that good faucets were a little pricey. Ok, they are real pricey. Hopefully, my middle of the road $100 faucet will do the job for the rest of my life time. Well, at least long enough that I won’t be worrying about fixing it again. It’s kind of funny how thought processes change as old age creeps up. Instead of just repairing things without any future thoughts, the process becomes repairing with the thought of not having to touch it again in this life time because 15 or 20 years down the road, crawling under the sink for repairs won’t be an option …. or will it. :-)
Have a great new kitchen faucet day.

That’s a great looking faucet! We usually do the same thing as you guys, no Christmas presents but instead we get something for the house or garden later in the year. New around our place this week are the new garden beds that we are making. Digging up lots of lawn to replace it with veggies!!
