Quote of the Day: Louise Dickinson Rich

June 15th, 2014

“Discontent is only the fear of missing something. Content is the knowledge that you aren’t missing a thing worth-while.”

I hope you are feeling content today, it’s definitely a process that you work towards. Simplifying is a part of the process of learning to be content with who you are, where you are, and what you have. That doesn’t meant that we aren’t working towards our goals, it means our reasons and motivations behind them are different.

Do you feel like you are content in your current situation?

So content this morning!! Drinking coffee and reading while my babies nap…it will be crazy in just a bit- but I look for pockets of peace where I can find them…so I have a book rec. for you…Vegetable Literacy by Deborah Madison…it’s my new library favorite…

Wonderful photo…I find a day at the beach here in the Northwest along the ocean to be truly magical.

I read, We Took to the Woods, upon your recommendation. Thank you. They had such an interesting and contented life. All I need to do each morning to remind myself I am truly content, is to look out my kitchen window. Mountains, water, woodlands, and beautiful vegetable and flower gardens, pure contentment.
