Quote of the Day: Cesare Pavese

June 29th, 2014

“We do not remember days; we remember moments.”

~ Cesare Pavese

My favorites moments in the garden are often those where I am enjoying the fruits of my labor and I find no better time than the golden hour of sunset.

I try to make sure I get out to enjoy this moment at least once a week, usually I have my camera with me. These moments make all the hot days of seeking worth while!

What moments have you been enjoying this week?

That is one of my all time favorite quotes. I’ve been enjoying some great moments with my babies (toddler and almost toddler, really). I haven’t had any great garden moments yet. I do check all my plants twice a day usually, though. I’m impressed that they are doing well.

Susy, my moments have been while in the garden but in a different way. Yes, I do enjoy working and resting while taking moments of just looking at growing plants and watching the wild life but the most memorable moments is having conversations with the folks in the neighborhoods surrounding the gardens. Probably 1/4 to 1/2 of my time at Terra Nova Gardens has now become talking with neighbors as they drive by. The new property is quickly becoming that way as well. It’s exactly what I wanted to happen. It wasn’t entirely about the production of food but about the influencing of the neighborhood in a positive way.

Have a great day enjoying the moments.

I am an early evening, sun going down, walk around my garden moment person too! Last night the setting sun came out after a good rain and everything was just dripping diamonds…It was so beautiful!
