Grease saved from frying bacon + cast iron skillet + popcorn kernels = one delicious snack!
We’re big fans of popcorn as a snack, generally we pop it in ghee. Last time I used bacon grease and it was AMAZING. Also popping it in a cast iron skillet instead of the normal stainless steel pan made a difference in taste. Now I’m going to be eating bacon constantly so I can have this popcorn!

We love popcorn! We love popping it in butter or lard with a sprinkle of Old Bay. Another favorite is heating up some pesto with a little more olive oil and tossing the popcorn in it.

Susy, my favorite snack would have to be nuts. I like all kinds of nuts which would include sunflower. Popcorn would be a close second but nuts would win hands down. I’ll have to try your bacon grease popcorn. No flavoring needed.

MM That sounds SO good! We eat popcorn Every Friday night…question though…how do you keep the popcorn in the CI when you cook it?! I use cast iron pans but never thought about popping popcorn in it!
