Gearing Up

May 5th, 2015

We’re gearing up for the busy garden chore season. Mr Chiots has been out tuning up all the small engines in the household. It’s amazing how many you need to have to keep things mowed, trimmed, cut, chipped, and generally tidy. A few of the engines needed some work, luckily the vintage riding mower fired right up.

You can read more about this great little tractor in this post. It won’t be long until it will be mowing a few acres every week.

Do have many engines to maintain for garden maintenance?

Susy, my garden maintenance engines are held to minimum. I have a walk behind lawn mower, a weed whacker trimmer, and a newly acquired chipper/vac. Most of my gardening is done with hand tools and weed control is done with mulch. Slowly but surely I’m taming the wild vacant lots under my ownership. It’s of a challenge than I first thought but I’m sticking to the no till method as much as I can. Good luck with planting and maintaining your gardens this year.

Have a great engine maintaining day.
