Cookies!!!

December 1st, 2015

Every year, when I come back to Ohio to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas, we make cookies with the nieces & nephew. This year was no exception. Yesterday, we made a few and we’ll be making more today.

I don’t make Christmas cookies at home, with only two of us they don’t get eaten up before we get sick of them. It’s great to make them with the kids, we make bunches, give them to neighbors and eat them with abandon. By the time we leave, I’ve had my fill of cookies. Gingerbread men are my favorite, this is my recipe if you’d like to give it a try. There’s a reason I don’t make these at home, I simply can’t quite eating them.

What’s your favorite cookie during the holiday season?

I feel sugar cookies are the most fun when decorating friends/family and sharing! I also love your gingerbread recipe and use it each year ;) I make them into star shapes and add extra heat to a batch for my spicy-loving family members. Cheers to y’all!

Susy, my favorite cookie for any occasion is chocolate chip. Yeah, I know, it’s not real fancy or one that needs decorating but they are just plain good. I’m not a baker so there’s no Christmas baking in the household unless my daughter gets the bug to bake something.

Have a great day baking with the nieces.

Your gingerbread recipe is used here and it is so delicious! I’m hoping to make a batch this week or next ❤

I make your gingerbread recipe here every year along with espresso snowcaps. Your recipe makes a lot, so I usually freeze half for after the new year as it freezes beautifully.

On the years I have a little bit extra cash, I’ll make fruitcake cookies.
