A Fun Giveaway
If you’ve been reading here for a while you know that I do social media for Fairy Gardening. Since I don’t have ads on the blog, I have to find other ways to pay the bills associated with it. I have a few social media clients, Fairy Gardening has been one for many years. I first made a fairy garden with my nieces and nephews and realized what a great tool it is for getting kids excited about gardening. Recently, they came out with a few fun new items and I figured I’d do a giveaway here, because they are so very cute. If you don’t have a dedicated fairy garden, you can put them in your houseplants.
I think these are pretty cute, I’m certain my nieces/nephew would LOVE these. All you have to do for a chance to win is to comment below. In a week or so I’ll choose a winner. Check back next week, I’ll be doing another giveaway of Fairy Gardening doors. And if you’d like to support the blog and keep it ad free, consider a donation, use the button to the right.
Do you have a fairy garden? Any great advice on ways to get kids interested in gardening?
Our winner is Sofia:
Those plant stakes are super-cute :) I’ve never built a fairy garden but I agree they are a great way to get kids excited about gardening. I try to let my kids help when they want to and we enjoy checking every day to see what has come up or how much something has grown. Sunflowers are great for that!

Both of my children started fairy gardens last year. They had a few purchased pieces, but the rest they had to create on their own. They spent many hours building little housed and paths out of bits and pieces they found.

The plant stakes are different and cute. I have been looking at different options/ designs of fairy gardens, but have not started one of my own yet. I think I get just as excited as any child would when I see them in the garden center or even at different craft fairs I’ve attended.

Those are adorable, and great for kids! I have all kinds of things like shells, harmony balls, bones, broken toys and feathers stuck in our houseplants. It is great fun for our small friends to move them around and inspect them when they visit.

Susy, I’ve tried to get my grandson to help in the garden but unless it needs protection from alien monsters that can be blasted with a super mega nerf gun that shoots a stream of nerf darts at the enemy, he’s not interested. However, even at eleven the light saber toting protector of the neighborhood, will consider planting sweet corn, his favorite vegetable. Now that I’m relatively sure that the raccoons won’t ransack the patch, he will be thrilled to be able to sink his teeth into a juicy ear of home grown corn in August. Hopefully, that will get his toe in the garden and see just how great it is growing our own sweet corn.
Have a great day in the fairy garden.

They’re adorable! My mother gave me all kinds of pot stakes many years ago. Their wooden stakes gave way and I forgot about them until now. Love them!

I don’t currently have a fairy garden and I want one! My kids help me garden; I encourage them to play in the soil to turn it. They help plant and water while we work on not stepping on the plants.

It’s hard to think about gardening right now looking out at a foot of snow (visiting Michigan) ha! But yes, I do have a fairy garden (sort of)… I made one in an old but very small wheelbarrow. It’s not only just the right height for a child…it’s portable! :)
Those little stakes are adorable!

Those are absolutely adorable. I haven’t had the opportunity to create a fairy garden, put I recently added some plants to our home. I love a little whimsy scattered about.

Very fun–I’m sure my boys would love them. They are pretty motivated to garden because they love to eat :)

Super cute! I haven’t made a fairy garden yet, but I’m sure once my daughter is older we’ll be getting into it!

Those are adorable!
My 8 year old had a fairy garden last year.
This year we’ll have one for both her and my 4 year old.
My mother in law also has a fairy garden and it’s beautiful.

The plant stakes are so cute! I have a few pot sitters, but I don’t have any plant stakes. Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh my. I had not heard of fairy gardens before and my two daughters would love LOVE love these. I get my girls (2 and 4) gardening by giving them jobs, building them play structures in my veggie garden, and giving my 4 yr old her own garden full of lots of plants that she likes to eat. This year, I’m growing my cukes, beans, and peas on hog panel tunnel house – a shady spot for the girls to hang out in while I work in the garden. They do a fair bit of crushing seedlings and wasting seed, but it all works out in the end.

I developed an interest for my grandson in gardening when I let him help pull carrots and dig for potatoes. What more could any child ask for but a place to dig and find surprises below? Since then he’s been excited to help plant.

We’ve been gardening since before my daughter was born. She’s not a fan of bugs (yet) but she loves starting seeds and planting things for the chickens. She’s interested in WWII, so this year I think one of our projects will be to recreate a victory garden. She’s pretty excited for that. She’s also thinking about creating a garden for her doll photoshoots someday.

I don’t have a fairy garden, but most of my house plants have some decoration in their pots. I love to use glass stir sticks. They would never had lasted if they were used for drinks, but in my plants I’ve had them for years :)

We don’t have a fairy garden currently, but I’ve been thinking about making one with the girls. The Easter Bunny brought them each a little growing kit yesterday, so we’ll get some plants going in the window this week!

The flowers and piggy? So cute! The whole set is adorable. We don’t have a fairy garden right now, but I’ve always had a garden box just for the kids. They get to pick whatever they want to grow. Always good about maintaining it too.

My brother started a fairy garden for my niece this Christmas with the intention to continue growing and building throughout the year. I’m sure some more cute things would be super appreciated! Thanks :)

Love the fairy garden items – the truck and flowers are so cute. Our 4 years old loves our little fairy garden. Great way for her to get outside and check for ‘mischief’ in the whiskey barrel where we have it. Our fairies are always up to something silly.
