Keeping Things Organized
One thing I like to do when I seed flats is to alternate colors of plants. I find that having red lettuces in between green lettuces helps reduce confusion if plants labels ever get mixed up to fall out of the tray.
I will also plant different varieties of plants in the same tray, as long as they have similar germination times and preferred conditions it works very well to keep things organized. These are things I’ve found that work for me and help me keep things organized.
Do you have any tips that help you keep things organized when starting seeds?

I seed flats with plants that are different. Tomatoes and peppers, lettuce and broccoli, cauliflower and eggplant. Masking tape as a label has worked well, too.

Very smart tip! Easy to spot any volunteers that might have strayed into the next section too.
One thing I do lately to remind myself to plant something next, is to flip the seed packet vertically in my seed box so it catches my eye. Silly but it helps.

Wooden clothes pins. I label them and clip to the containers. We reuse them in the house after. I had a hard time keeping other tags in place, I can be a bit clutzy :)

I mark one side of the tray with tape and then make a diagram. When I transplant, I use wooden sticks. Since I’m a creature of habit, I have sticks from the past as long as I can find them.
