Broody Dex

May 25th, 2016

On Sunday I went into the kitchen and there was Dexter camped out on over a dozen eggs. No doubt he had gone broody, hoping to hatch himself out a batch of snacks.

He jumped on the raise your own bandwagon before he realized how much work it takes to raise a clutch of chicks. This is not the first time Dexter has decided that a carton full of eggs would be the perfect place for a nap, I can’t make this stuff up.

Any animals doing crazy things at your place?

Zoey, our rescue dog, does not give two cares about being good this week. Bunny? Yes! She will catch it! (No she won’t) Driveway? She can dig it! (yes…she can) Garden soil? No challenge here. High tunnel? She has no limits. I don’t know how many dozen times my sentences started with “Zoey…” yesterday.

…LOL! THAT is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! lololol… :oD

…You’d really have a story if he was seriously broody and he hatched a few. Can you imagine, Dex walking around your gardens with a lil’ clutch of baby chicks following him around?! lololol

    …Good boy Dex! :o)

    …Enjoy your day!

    …Peace & blessings.

I’d love to see his reaction if an egg started to hatch under him
