Family Day At Kingwood

November 1st, 2016

Kingwood Center in Mansfield is a real gem, it’s a beautiful garden that’s small enough for a quick trip on a nice day. It’s only an hour away from my parent’s house, so we often take an afternoon to visit the gardens when I’m back in Ohio visiting. It’s also inexpensive, only $5 per car to get in, which makes it doable for my sister and her four kids to join us.

The weather was perfect that day, sunny and 75 degrees, amazing for the end of October. My mom felt well enough to walk around the gardens with us and we had a nice afternoon enjoying what will probably be the last warm day of the year. It was a beautiful day at a beautiful garden.

Do you have a favorite outing as a family?

Susy, your pictures with your family are great. What amazing gardens you find to tour. My grandson is not interested in nature in the least. If we had a family outing, it better have action involved. Things that require being strapped in so he could be whirled around, spun upside down, and free fall. Trampoline, video games, and bouncy houses would on the schedule as well. Yeah, makes me tired just thinking about it. Most times I let my daughter take care of that part of the family outing.

The grandpa family outing is a nice Sunday after church lunch at the restaurant. I would like touring those gardens that you find but it’s really no fun alone.

Have a great garden touring memory day.
