Moments of Creativity

February 8th, 2017

I’ve always been a creative person, as a child I was constantly drawing, sewing, making things out of modeling clay, or doing various crafty things. As we get older, we can often drift away from our creative sides. While I still do a lot of creative things, I’m trying to add a little creativity into the every day.

My to-do list is a great place. I don’t doodle and draw nearly as much as I did when I was younger. Now I’m trying to make my to-do lists less rigid and add a few fun little drawings. I’ve heard of bullet journaling, but that seems like a little too much for me. For now, adding a few quick doodles while keeping my life organized is the perfect way to add a little creativity and fun into my everyday!

What things are you doing to add more creativity to your life?

Susy, I started a creative writing class recently. It’s taken me way, way out of my comfort zone–which is a good thing. I am learning so much. And once one idea is sparked it seems to spark a thousand others. Even though it’s a struggle to write everyday, I find life more fulfilled when I tap into that creative side. It’s worth it to try!

I love bullet journals. I don’t do all the drawings, etc., but the actual organizational ideas are fantastic. Definitely been life-changing.

This is a daily journal of my efforts to cultivate a more simple life, through local eating, gardening and so many other things. We used to live in a small suburban neighborhood Ohio but moved to 153 acres in Liberty, Maine in 2012.
