Lonicera ‘Goldflame’
Two weeks ago I went to Fieldstone Garden and spotted this lonicera ‘Goldflame’ blooming on their trellis.
I’m in need a few climbers in the garden, especially ones like this that provide some winter interest. So I purchased this beautiful ‘Goldflame’ lonicera.
I can’t wait to for it to start blooming like this, the pollinators will love it just as much as I do. Now I just need to figure out where is the perfect spot. On a side note, a big storm took out our internet on Saturday day, so if my posting is spotty this week, it’s because my cell signal is not that great at my house.
What’s your favorite climber for the garden?

Susy, unfortunately I don’t have any climbers in my garden …. yet. When I do get to that part of gardening it will be Clematis. It has the most glorious aroma when it blooms. My neighbor had one but cut it down because it attracted bees. Their dog was allergic to bee stings and almost died because of one so any thing (fruit trees, Flowers, Clematis, etc) that would atrract bees was sanitized from the yard. Part of urban living is getting along with neighbors so I’m sure it wouldn’t be a good thing to plant a Clematis any where near their yard. I’m in the thinking about stage for a flower area on the far side of the yard away from this neighbor so maybe it will be part of that plan.
Have a great Lonicera Goldflame day.
