Family Day At Kingwood

November 1st, 2016

Kingwood Center in Mansfield is a real gem, it’s a beautiful garden that’s small enough for a quick trip on a nice day. It’s only an hour away from my parent’s house, so we often take an afternoon to visit the gardens when I’m back in Ohio visiting. It’s also inexpensive, only $5 per car to get in, which makes it doable for my sister and her four kids to join us.
The weather was perfect that day, sunny and 75 degrees, amazing for the end of October. My mom felt well enough to walk around the gardens with us and we had a nice afternoon enjoying what will probably be the last warm day of the year. It was a beautiful day at a beautiful garden.

Do you have a favorite outing as a family?

Yesterday, we joined up with my sister and her kids and spent the day walking around Kingwood Center in Mansfield, OH. It was a wonderful garden, if you’re ever in Mansfield, I highly recommend taking the time to visit the gardens. Not only is it a beautiful place to spend a day, it’s also a very inexpensive place. It costs only $5 per car as a parking fee. Here are some images from our day.

There are so many wonderful gardens throughout the country, thankfully I’ve been able to visit many. Now I’ve checked another off my list. I’d love to hear about any gardens you’ve visited that you love so I can add them to my list of places to go.

What’s your favorite garden to visit in your area or when you travel?
