It’s Coming
Fall is well on it’s way here in NE Ohio. The leaves are starting to get really pretty. Hopefully we don’t get a big wind storm or rain storm move through. Looks like it’s shaping up to be a beautiful fall, we’re hoping to be able to spend a few days out enjoying it. We were able to visit the Algonquin Mill Festival yesterday, I’ll be posting photos of that tomorrow.
As I write this post it’s 80 outside, not that I’m complaining it will give my last few green tomatoes a few more days to ripen and it gives my carrots & cabbage some more warm weather for growth.
So what do you do to enjoy the changing seasons?
What beautiful photographs! I found your blog via being frugal (the post about Walmart), we have very similar views! I stopped buying anything cheap to switch to fairtrade, I buy so much less but feel good knowing it is going to give pepole a fair trade for their work!

I agree with you about buying cheap stuff. We buy fair trade and much less of stuff now that we don’t shop at big box places. We try to purchase everything at local farmer’s markets and from local farms or find a small local supplier. We also try to make everything from scratch, and we try not to purchase pre-made pre-packaged stuff either. We are healthier both physically and financially because our these choices.

I shovel snow. I love it. I love that we live somewhere with seasons – even if I will miss the garden. I love how everything looks in the fall, in the winter, and in the spring. Everytime I’m tempted to say “That’s it! We’re moving to Florida!” a too hot, too humid day will come by and I’ll be thankful it’s just one, and not a whole month of them. Kale’s supposed to be sweeter after the frost. :)

I love the snow as well. I’m also glad I live somewhere with seasons. I grew up in South America on the equator, so our only seasons were hot and hotter. It seems like in Ohio just about the time you’re getting tired of one season the next one comes around. Perfect!
