A Beautiful Day

February 9th, 2010

We woke up to a beautiful day yesterday morning. The skies were clear and blue and everything was coated with a light layer of fluffy sticky snow. It almost looked like the snow actually grew out of the trees. You could see each individual snowflake, it was lovely. Days like this make the longer winters bearable. When nature is this beautiful I don’t need to say anything, the photos say it all.

Sunny days like this make me happy, we don’t have many sunny winter days here in NE Ohio. I hope you have a beautiful day!

What kind of weather makes you happy?

Your photos are beautiful! Almost makes me wish we had gotten some of that snow that hit the east coast. I think we are getting some today though (Michigan).

That is beautiful! I’m hoping we get some fresh snow. The snow we have is old and if it’s going to be cold, it would be nice to have everything look new and fresh.

Oh those photos are beautiful, especially the top one with that deep blue sky. It’s so good to be grateful for these moments of nature and wonder, fleeting as they may be. Here in Portland, weather that changes the monotony of wet grey days is always welcome. Heck, I’m grateful for a dry day. But when the sun comes out? It’s as if the heavens break open and angels sing. Oh for the sun!

    Oh, it’s beautiful. Gorgeous pictures.
The sun came out during a rainstorm today, and I realized how much I love the sun. Without it I’m gloomy gloomy.

Lovely shots, Susy. Thank you for sharing. I must admit, my favorite weather is a balmy, summer evening, but these photos make a strong case for sunny and crisp winter morning.
