2011 Calendar in the Works
I’ve been getting some questions about my plans to design 2011 calendar, now that it’s that time of the year to start thinking about 2011 already – YIKES!
I will be making one this year as well, I’ve been going through my photos for the year choosing ones I think I might like. This is actually the hardest part, choosing one or two images for each month. There are a few that I knew the moment I saw the photo during the year, but other months are proving difficult to narrow them down. I like to use photos that I actually took during that month. Here are last year’s images for each month.
I feel like it’s going to be hard to top my 2010 year calendar since I love it so much, but I know I have some wonderful photos from this year that will make a beautiful calendar.
I thought I’d open it up to you – is there a photo you particularly remember from this past year that you’d like to see added to the calendar? (if you need a refresher, I upload a lot of them to Flickr and they’re easier to look through)

Lovely photos, it would be hard to choose. I recently got a better camera, but I have so much to learn before I will be taking beautiful photos.

There was a post with the focus on the color green that was beautiful….but the last one that I recall was of a leaf delicately trimmed in frost…..Thank you for a year of lovely photos…..It has been a pleasure:)

Your photos are fantastic- it will be so hard to choose! I grew up in northeastern Ohio and a lot of your pictures remind me of home.

Well, that is just lovely! It’s great that you use a picture actually taken in that month. I have the Cavallini heirloom vegetables calendar and it drives me crazy that the illustration for January is tomatoes and peas are in August. It’s true that in coastal Texas, we can sometimes grow tomatoes in January but most people can’t and there are certainly no peas growing in August (there’s not much growing in August).

There are at least some heat loving veggies… thank goodness! I’m in Dallas and I’ve found that my peppers, okra and sweet potatoes thrive during the hottest of times. I did have to do daily watering for sure, but it felt good to have _something_ being productive! I’m always on the lookout for more heat loving veggies.

Gorgeous photos!

Your pictures are ALL good — a random calendar generator would produce a superior product.
Here is my own first effort — too plain and too expensive, but I’m still learning.

I like the one with Lucy admiring the daffodils. Pics of Little Softie are great too.

I don’t know that my input could improve your choices. I do enjoy your images of animals.
The 2010 calendar hangs wonderfully on my office wall. It’s really gotten a workout. Please let us know if a 2011 edition will be made available.
