Giving Thanks

November 25th, 2010

The history of Thanksgiving is a blurry one, once you start reading up on it you realize it wasn’t necessarily a feast between pilgrims and Indians sharing food after the harvest. Regardless of what really happened, today is a day in the United States set aside for giving thanks and sharing a bountiful table of food with friends and family.

I’m very thankful for: Mr Chiots, my family, my friends, my little garden, and of course all the delicious food I’ll be enjoying today. Happy Thanksgiving to you all from all of us at Chiot’s Run.

What are you thankful for on this day?

I am so thankful for my loving, caring, and beautiful wife. Without her I would be lost.

I’m thankful for family…and a warm home…and this crazy little blog world where we can meet like-minded people who share a love for all things simple and beautiful. Be blessed today…

I’ve been making bread for nearly 20 years. Today is the first time I’ve ever burnt it. It’s not completely black but it is indeed burnt. I’m thankful that I do not have to worry the bread is burnt. I’m thankful that the people who will gather at the dinner table with me will make jokes about my burnt bread and none of us will go hungry tonight.

oops a day late but yesterday I particular thankful for … central heating, pickled onions and Ebay (earning a few pounds for stuff I don’t need, hooray!). I count my blessings every day for my wonderful husband and loved ones.
