C is for _______________

August 4th, 2011

COOKING – it’s no secret that I love to cook, always have. Cooking is one of the ways I like to be Creative.

COLOMBIAN – you may not have realized that I was born in Colombia, South America. My parents are American’s, so I’m American as well, but I have dual citizenship and have a Colombian and U.S. passport!

COFFEE LOVER – I could drink coffee all day, perhaps it has something to do with growing up in Colombia and drinking coffee since I was a wee girl.

CRABBY – yep I can be crabby, especially before my cup of coffee in the morning!

CHILLY – I’m always cold in the summer. You’ll find me wearing a sweatshirt even when it’s 90 outside (perhaps that has something with growing up in the tropics).

CATS – I’m a cat lover. We have 4 cats here at Chiot’s Run, 2 indoor cats and 2 garage cats. Cats seem to find their way to our home, I supposed they can tell a cat friendly household!

CYNICAL – I have to admit that I’m a cynical person, especially when it come to politics and certain issues. That’s why I spend my time gardening instead!

CAGEY – I’m definitely wary of many things and try to take everything I read, see, and hear with a grain of salt.

CHEERFUL – despite being cynical and cagey, I’m a fairly cheerful person. In my personal life I try to be laid back and enjoy things as they come.

CHAPSTICK – there’s always one in my pocket and I get a little anxious if I forget it!

CAMPER – when it comes to vacationing I’m a camper through and through. Not that I mind staying in hotels every now and then, especially when close to big cities. But I much prefer waking up in a tent with the sounds of the birds!

CONSPIRACY THEORIES – I love a good conspiracy theory and how it engages the mind and makes you think about things a little differently – it’s quite fascinating. This is probably because I’m a huge James Bond fan and there’s always a mastermind behind everything that’s going on.

CREATIVE – I’m a very creative person, always have been. When I was a kid I drew, sewed, painted and did all kinds of creative things. That hasn’t changed up as I’ve gotten older, but some of my mediums have changed. I now use my camera most often to express my creativity.

Let’s see . . . Confused, much of the time (what is that tree? what kind of animal eats parsnip tops? how did I end up with a life in which I must find the time to the slaughter six chickens and edit a novel about schizophrenia?), Challenging (my husband will tell you ALL about this one if you let him), Considerate and Caring (good thing, since I fully admit to being the aforementioned challenging at times), Constrained (in personality, that is, not necessarily by circumstance).

I skipped “B” yesterday in your comments. I haven’t been getting a lot of sleep lately, so I’ve been feeling not too bright (hey! a B word!) and distinctly itchy-with-a-preceding-B, if you get what I’m saying.

Is that Burt’s Bees chapstick? The label on mine ALWAYS comes off and looks exactly like yours

Yep, Burt’s Bees – those labels do come off (think it’s because I always accidentally wash them!

    Chapstick?!
That is wonderful. It is the 1st item I list that I MUST have so that makes me a Chapstick lover too.

    Comedic
    Considerate
Cynical – Dear me. We need to chat. This is a word I use to decribe myself often. Maybe I’m not so much a cynic as I am correct; so I’ll add “correct” to the list. That probably erases any hope of using the word “humble” don’t you think?

I also like to carry some sort of lip balm in my pocket. I have on many occasions forgotten to chk my pockets before doing the laundry. My neglect has caused damage to many articles of clothing, but my lips are protected.

That’s one of the benefits of line drying – no melted chapstick. I find that some Dr. Bronner – Sal-Suds rubbed in to the melted chapstick stains and a washing in hot water usually gets it out.

I just saw this on Tracy’s blog and would like to participate. Since losing our first born beloved daughter to cancer in May it’s been hard for me to get going on my blogging on a regular basis and this will help jump-start me. Great idea. I haven’t done mine yet, but will go right now to do so. I’ll be starting with A of course on August 4th.

C for constantly changing my mind, sometimes a good thing sometimes infuriating. So many chapsticks hidden in every coat pocket, Burts Bees is one I don’t know I’ll have to go on a quest. I had a nice chocolate and mint one this last winter :D

My list went up this morning. One I forgot was CONTENT. Not that I’m happy all the time or not trying to make things different or better- I’m just at a point in my life where I am content. It’s a good feeling.

Chapstick and creative. I am giggling at how hard it can be to come of with words “under pressure” so to speak. ha. I will post C and D “c”ombined today to try to “c”atch up. I am trying to hold off at reading others lists of letters I haven’t done yet, I don’t want them to put words into my mouth. This is fun. Emily
