U is for ____________

August 25th, 2011

UNCONVENTIONAL – I’m unconventional in a lot of ways, in my ideas and viewpoints. People are often surprised by some of my viewpoints because they assume that because I ascribe to certain beliefs, I should also believe other things.

UNWILLING TO SAY CAN’T – I like to try new things and am so stubborn that I will often try things simply because other people think it can’t be done.

UNIQUE – I’ve had a very interesting life, growing up in another country, lots of interesting experiences. I’ve lived in the city and in the country. I try to celebrate my uniqueness and try not to be swayed what it’s style. It can be tough to keep your uniqueness in a society that likes homogenization and sameness.

UNSOCIAL – As an introvert, I am often described as unsocial by others. I’m not actually unsocial, I’m just limited social. I limit my social engagements because they wear me out. I don’t mind small groups of people, but large groups really wear me out.

What words/phrases describe you that start with a U?

    I’m with you on the “unsocial” – I do not like large gatherings, and actually prefer to stay home most of the time :)

    This entire alphabet exercise has shown me how similar you are to me and how different.

    U = Uncola nut. I enjoy an occasional 7up.

    unique and somewhat unconventional as well.. been told this my whole life, but I think I just share my own views which often differ from others.

    understanding.. I’ve been thru many many things in my life & when I was younger, I was more opinionated, but I haddent lived thru much of life on my own. Im empathetic and empathic to much.

    I wouldnt consider myself unsocial by any means, and neither would anyone else, but I am like you in that Im ok with small groups occasionally (cant stand anyone around all the time except my honey) and large groups & gatherings wear me out as well. Thats the true sign of an introvert.

    Nice U’s. I prefer small gatherings to large. Would rather stay home most of the time. My U words are: Unlike (being unlike most of my friends), useful and unfinshed (for many unfinished projects) Emily
