Pardon our Dust
Yesterday was drywall sanding day on the upstairs project, a dusty job to be sure. Thankfully our contractor is pretty good and we didn’t have to sand too much.
It still makes a HUGE mess and I’ll be dusting and vacuuming daily for a week or two to get rid of it all. Thankfully, we both have these fantastic 3M Professional Half-Mask Organic Vapor, N95 Respirator to wear. They’re amazing and work not only for dust but for odor as well, worth every penny. We wear them all the time!
We also managed to get everything primed and the ceiling three of the rooms painted. Needless to say, we’re super excited about getting this project checked off the list.
What creates the most dirt/dust in your house: pets, kids, spouse, gardening?

My house is always dusty! It’s debatable who makes the most dust-the 2 cockatiels make lots of dust and 3 golden retrievers help and add lots of dog hair….Our house is old and drafty so I battle with lots of dust and cobwebs.
I’m going to have to get one of those masks for work. I work a lot in the soils lab and I started wearing a dust mask a few years ago. I hate to think of all the junk I breathed in over the years.

Without a doubt most of my mess comes from KIDS!! Not much dust or dirt, just the clutter of stuff that belongs to him. I usually do a good job of keeping up, but right now with trying to get some food stuff done, it’s definitly lacking around here.
Glad that project is getting checked off the list :)

I feel your pain. LOL! That is one of the messiest jobs. And it gets into cracks and crannies everywhere.

Thanks for the 3M plug:) Husband has worked for them for 20 years and those respirator masks are the “bomb!” We used them when redoing our old old house and they saved my lungs…..as I struggle with asthma. Your house is looking good:)

We LOVE these masks, wear them all the time for all sorts of projects. Highly recommend them and a good pair of earplugs to anyone that will listen!

Living in the San Joaquin Valley alone means dust. I could dust twice a day and still need to dust a 3rd time. My English Mastiff doesn’t help matters either. He continually sheds. My Great Pyrenees never shed as much as this short haired baby.

Good to know about the Great Pyrenees shedding, we’re considering adding one to our flock.

This 100 year old house causes most of the dust around here, I guess. I dunno, but there sure is a lot of it. And Im allergic to dust too.. Its a pitiful position to be in. ;)
Im with Mabelline.. I could dust twice a day and still need to dust. ;)
