Quote of the Day: Robert Brault,
Through the blackest night, morning gently tiptoes,
feeling its way to dawn.
~Robert Brault
I love being outside at night, especially in spring, when the air is crisp and there aren’t many insects around. More than the dark of night, I love being up early, right as night begins to fade to day.
One of the reasons I love camping so much is because we’re usually up as the first whispers of dawn break over the horizon.
I especially love getting up early, seeing the first whispers of dawn on the horizon.
What’s your favorite time of day?

Susy, I am a morning person as well. It just doesn’t get any better than watching the sun rise from the garden while sipping on a hot cup of coffee. Many sun rises were viewed from the picnic table at Terra Nova Gardens last year. There is a clear view to East from the garden. Of course the sun rose at 5:30am and there is about a 20 minute drive to the garden so rising early was definitely a must to catch the first rays coming up over the horizon. It’s a two fold enjoyment as watching and hearing the wild life wake up is just as soothing to the soul. This year will be quite a different year but hopefully there will be joy coming from early mornings once again soon.
Have a great day enjoying those special sunrise mornings.

Well, at this point in life, it’s mid-morning…. especially waking up at 7 or 8 on the weekend to realize that the baby let us sleep in!

I love the wee hours of the morning… always have, always will…but Im usually sleeping when the break of dawn comes, as much as I love that time of day… Some of my fondest memories are camping out watching pre-dawn on the beach and the sun come up over the horizon. It gives me a spiritual high like not many things do.
When I worked 3rd shift, it was perfect for me.. I’d be off work just in time to see dawn breaking and I’d enjoy the morning and then sleep thru the hot part of the day.. Once my babies came along, I had to change that.
My body still loves to be up all night and sleep all day and I’ve reverted to a much later schedule than when Im working on a first shift schedule since I’ve been laid off. I stay up till 2 or 3 and sleep till 10 or 11..
I wish I wasnt that way.. but it is what it is.. at least for now. ;)

My favorite time of day is the few minutes before dawn- when it seems the entire world is waking up. The first good morning song from the birds is an excellent alarm clock for me.
