Pppppt New Shoes

June 15th, 2013

I got these new shoes a month or two ago and I LOVE them. They were chosen because they were slip-ons, perfect for gardening. There is a no shoe rule in this house, so slip-on shoes are a must when you’re coming and going many times throughout the day.

They’s Keen Sneaker of course, the only brand of shoes that I buy. They fit my feet perfectly and I know they’ll always fit like a glove.

These shoes quickly became my favorite shoes and I wear them everywhere.

I’m actually thinking about buying another pair because I love them so much.

Do you wear slip-on shoes when you garden to leave the soil in the garden?

    Very cute shoes.

My footwear of choice is usually a pair of tall rubber boots. I use to wear the shorter ones, but by the time I was done there would be ticks all over my legs. So the taller boots work well at keeping those nasty ticks off my skin. Plus they are printed with blank and white daisies. Totally cute!

I love keens too. But, I’ve only ever bought their hikers. Those are really cute and look super comfy. I am always barefoot in the garden!

I love Keens too, but my favorite pair for working in the garden is Blundstone slip on work boots. These are just too pretty to get dirty!

My preference is to go barefoot but that doesn’t always happen. Sometimes I wear Muck Shoes or sandals.

I wear my Birkenstocks for normal gardening like planting, weeding, watering, etc.

For digging a bed over, I wear a pair of steel toed workboots, since they have a steel shank in the sole which makes getting the spade into the soil so much easier.

Can’t afford to buy and/or ruin such expensive shoes in the garden. I wear WM brand crocs, or flipflops in the garden. But only after they aren’t nice enough to wear to town or gatherings, etc. Only old tennis shoes in winter, ones not nice enough to run errands in. Our outdoor on the homestead shoes are the ones not fit to wear off the place. been wearing my WMart crocs for 2 years, year round, next year may have to get another pair to replace a pair I wear for errands. I only have shoes easily washed. Yours are so pretty but do they wash up?

I hear you, Deb! I have a pair of TSC pink rubber boots I’ve had for 3 years that hit just below the knee. Great for mud, snow, or splashing through the occasionally clogged ditch. Lots of old tennis shoes or barefoot otherwise.

BOGS are my favorite especially this wet boggy year. Your shoes are adorable!

Love those! I have owned several pair of Keen…and other than Dankso….they are the only shoes I will wear! The best feeling for my feet:) In the summer whilst working in the garden I wear a pair of Birkenstock rubber clogs that I have had for ages or my Teva sandals.

I’ve got a pair of Crocs Prepaire flip flops I’ve had about 3 or 4 years that I almost always wear in the garden.. Most of the time they’re perfect, though there has been a time or two when I was slip sliding away and they werent that great at that moment.. but they’re basically my garden shoes.. I’ve got rain boots for when I need to go out in the cold muck for winter..

I have a pair of slip-ons that I got at the local agway. They are called “statesman” They are not cute like yours though. I can hose them off since mine are always covered in layers of dirt and mud.I even wear socks with them to keep my feet clean.
