Friday Favorite: Clean Windows
I love a good clean window, really, really love it. Back in Ohio I cleaned the windows frequently. Here the windows on the house are a bit of a challenge to clean, storm windows really make it difficult, especially if they don’t come off easily. Luckily, the windows on the garage can be cleaned easily so I’m getting my window cleaning fix.
It’s amazing the difference it makes, not only from the inside but from the outside as well. These windows had loads of paint on them from the previous paint job who knows how many years ago. I used my razor scraper and went to town. They needed scrubbed 5-6 times to get the years of grime scrubbed off. Now they’re sparkling clean and I’m happy.
Windows are probably my favorite thing to have clean, as long as they sparkle I can deal with clutter elsewhere.
What’s your favorite part of the house to have clean as a whistle?

I love it when my stove is shining. Our windows are easy to get to but I still don’t get around to cleaning them as often as I should. Such a feeling of accomplishment, isn’t it. Maybe this weekend…..

I had to think about this for awhile. I don’t care so much about scrubbing cleaning–except the mildew eradication, because that’s just gross–but I loathe and detest clutter on any surface. And there is ALWAYS clutter on ALL the surfaces. We read too much, that’s our problem; newspapers and magazines and books everywhere.
I do like getting every surface in the living room cleared off and then dusting. The old wood furniture looks so nice when it’s clear and shiny. Lasts about two hours before woodstove dust settles on everything, but it’s a satisfying two hours.c

HAH! Every time I look at my dirty windows I think of your first post on cleaning windows! Seriously. And then I think I should clean them and well, they are still dirty. ;)

I love to clean the windows before winter sets in; it makes it so much nicer to look out over the sparkly white snow when you can actually see it sparkle!

Susy, I guess my favorite thing to see clean not necessarily to clean it is the kitchen counter and sink. My theory on window cleaning is to buy drapes and cover them up. That way you can’t see if they are dirty or not. Well, that was my theory but I do like to look out the windows and watch the wild life so I guess I’m going to have to clean the windows, huh. I think the last time they were cleaned was in the year 19 ……. hmmmm, let’s just say it was a long time ago. You got me eating flowers and now cleaning windows. You blog is a life changer is a good way for me. :0) ***** Have a great clean window day.

I can’t abide clutter, so anytime things get picked up and put away, I breathe a little easier.
Your windows look sparkling clean. ;0)
