Friday Favorite: Patriotic Holidays

July 4th, 2014

For some reason I really love a patriotic holiday, not sure why, it’s just something I’ve always loved.  Perhaps it’s because I like see flags so much.  I hope if you are here in the US you enjoy a nice celebration whatever that means for you.  Mr Chiots is off cooking chicken for the fire department barbecue.

We’ll have good food with good friends and we might even see a few fireworks. Truly the perfect way to celebrate!

What’s your favorite way to celebrate summer holidays?

Going to a BBQ or hosting a BBQ would be an ideal way to celebrate. Unfortunately we are hanging out at home BBQing for ourselves.

Susy, my favorite way to celebrate holidays is with good friends and family, good conversations, good food, and good weather. It looks like that just might happen for this 4th of July here. It going to be a clear day today but rain tomorrow. I’m heading out of town today and returning Sunday. That would be good friends. They always have good food. And the conversations are great. There’s usually even a game night in there too. That’s always fun. Now if the weather would co operate it would be a perfect holiday.

I see the blue cups and the deer flies are back. :-)

Have a great holiday and weekend.

    Happy 4th of July!

For us…lots of family and friends, two new babies this year too! Fun yard games, badminton and volleyball, as well as water sports. We are blessed with good cooks, not afraid to try new dishes. Barbequed salmon, chicken and ribs, main course. This year looks like wonderful weather to be on the waters edge here in the PNW! Campfire and watching fireworks after dark.
