This year I set up the big grow light in my office, that way it’s easy for me to monitor the seedlings. One of our cats, Littles, has decided that the grow light is her new sun lamp.

I’m not sure if she’s trying to keep SAD away or if she’s hoping to grow a little more. Either way, it cracks me up every time I see her.

What’s growing in your seed starting area?

Susy, the salad greens continue to grow in the basement and are a huge success. Next year I start them earlier and have a bigger process. Onions are planted …. well were planted but some how they fell off the shelf so need to be replanted today, Cabbages will be close behind the onions.

What are those seedlings under your grow light, Cat’s just naturally seem to find the warmest spot in the house to stretch out and nap on.

Have a great seed starting day.

Your cat is so adorable but we would have a very real heart attack if our kitty did the same. Still saving for those wonderful tough trays and covers but are stuck using the old, cheap and flimsy dome covers again this year. Sigh.

Our big boxes of seeds just arrived and so it is time to get out the lights and the shelves and to start all kinds of Onions! The kitchen-nursery mess begins.

    Still so much fun.

Thank goodness for strong seedlings trays!
