Tiny Zippered Bags

December 20th, 2018

I’ve been spending lots of time in my sewing room now that it’s mostly set up. It still takes me a while to find things as some are in this room and some still remain in the old sewing space. Almost all of my Christmas gifts are handmade this year (photos of those to come after the holidays). I did sew 8 little zippered bags for a friend (she received them yesterday so I can share without spoiling the surprise).

I gifted all of these to a friend, she will use some of them and keep some to have quick gifts on hand. These little bags a joy to make, they come together quickly and make such great gifts. They’re a great way to use up scraps of fabric.

What would you keep in these little bags?

I love the square top bags. They’d be perfect for Bach Flower remedy bottles and I guess you could stitch a thicker lining into the bag for protecting them as they’re in glass bottles

I’ve had lots of requests for an essential oil bottle/glass bottle insert of sorts for my zippered bags.

Do you have a pattern that you follow for these bags? My daughter would love to learn to make them and an easy to follow pattern or instructions would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance and enjoy the holiday season. =)

I carry a USB charger battery and cables in little bags like this. I also have eye drops that fit in a nice flat bag. These are perfect!

I have a few different ones I carry in my purse to contain all things as well, including eye drops :)

    Hi Suzy,
Your little bags are so nice for so many things. They would make great make-up or small toiletry bags! Do you sell them at all?

Such a good idea! I am running out of the drawstring bags I made several years ago to put presents in… zipper pouches would be a fun thing to have on hand for reusable packaging/being the gift and a great stash buster (which I need to do!)

I’m always needing to work through some of my stash, especially all that fabric I get in thrift store grab bags!!!

I see some other of your other zippered bags in the store…Are these a different kind and would they be a different price?

I haven’t added any of the boxy zipper pouches (or the smaller ones), which size/shape were you looking at (or both?).

Probably the smaller ones! What would you sell them at and can you tell me it’s dimensions? I’m thinking they would make great little make-up and or overnight toiletry bags! :)
