The Midway Museum

February 28th, 2020

When we were in San Diego a few weeks ago we spent a day at the USS Midway Museum, it was a day well spent. We had no idea that you could go through most of the ship, learning about what life was like on an aircraft carrier as you go.

We were so glad we went to this museum, it was well worth it and we enjoyed seeing the ship and all the airplanes. If you’re even in San Diego I highly recommend it!

Susy, looks quite impressive. My son has been in the Navy for 27 year and is a command master chief. I’m definitely proud of him. I don’t see him much as he spent most of that time on a carrier out cruising the Pacific. He is in charge of the crew that keeps the planes in good repair. Mostly electronics. He’s gone far beyond my telecommunication electronics career.

I’ve got some onions started from seed and just planted California Wonder Bell pepper sprouts yesterday. I’ve always had trouble with getting pepper seeds to germinate. I’ve discovered that if I sprout the seeds, which takes about five days, and plant the sprouts, I can have plants growing in about 10 days with 100% success. I do the same with tomato seeds as well. It just works better for me.

Have a great end of Winter Maine day.
